CHRISTMAS CHOIR ~ A VOCAL WORKSHOP 2021:
 ~ Friday, November 12, 2021 (5:00-8pm) &
Saturday, November 13, 2021 (10:00am-3:00pm)
Dress rehearsal: Saturday, December 4, 2021 (10:00am - Noon)
Performance:  Sunday, December 5, 2021 (2:30pm after church & lunch - Primetime!)

​SHORTER REHEARSAL TIMES FOR THE CHRISTMAS CONCERT IN THE FORM OF EXTENDED
WEEKEND WORKSHOP.   LIKE ALL-STATE CHOIR, MUSIC WILL BE LEARNED AT HOME AND POLISHED AT THE EXTENDED WEEKEND REHEARSAL TIME.  MUSIC THEORY WILL BE INCLUDED.  
Dress for the Christmas Concert is Dark Bottoms/Festive Color tops (red, green, white, gold, purple or combination)
For guys: belts and collared shirts or sweaters in any of the above colors.

Due to the recent Statewide mandates and precautionary measures to reduce spread of COVID-19 (Corona Virus), NORMAL rehearsals and semester concert has been postponed until further notice.  Please continue to check here for updates on the status of resuming our regular schedule.
If you are interested in participating in the Christmas Concert, please register now so that I may move forward with plans and know what to expect with regard to my numbers.  
I am also offering an Adult opportunity to join in the Concert.  There will be a couple of adult anthems and then I'll join the choirs for an awesomely wonderful Vocal-mix of children, teens, and adults. New Semester date for Spring of 2022 Yet To Be Determined.
The Baton Rouge Homeschool Choir is a division of The Academy for Cultivating Creative Arts.  The choirs are divided into 3 age appropriate choirs beginning at age 4 and ending at 12th grade.  Each choir typically meets on Tuesday's between 2:15-4:15pm (Times and Day may change).  Our fall semester meets for 12 weeks beginning late August  and ends with a concert on Saturday in November.  Please check out the FAQS (Frequently Asked Questions) tab in the menu for more information about the choirs, how they function, and about our faculty. You can also visit our Facebook page and YouTube channel to see and hear recordings of some of our repertoire.

We offer our students a broad scope of musical repertoire and have included Broadway, Folk, Foreign Language, Show Tunes, Spirituals, and Hymn Anthems at our concerts.  Our students love being involved in a program that is fun, rigorous, diverse, and educational.  There is always room for your child on our stage!  We love to nurture and grow musical talent!

As a division of The Academy for Cultivating Creative Arts, LLC, The Baton Rouge Homeschool Choir, now in its 5th year, was created to provide homeschool families a cost effective musical experience that will last a lifetime.  It's director, Sherry Barron, a National Board Certified Music Educator,  has dedicated herself to planting and nurturing musical seeds within each student.  With much tender care, the BRHSC staff is dedicated to providing music theory and a choral program of rigor and excellence for ages 4 through 12th grade.
